I installed 7.23.
I just opened up 3 sequences on a current project that have been driving me nuts with stuck notes.

Drumroll please.......

Break out the champagne!
They fixed it!
I can't get a stuck note to save my life.

Many thanks to the folks at MOTU for taking us seriously about this issue.

Obviously this is my initial testing and it may not be the solution for everybody.

That was the first thing I tried on my setup. And yep they're ba-ack.

I've had stuck notes yesterday with DP7.23. Yickes!

But only with IK Miroslav Philharmonik, and only in a multitimbral polyphonic setup.
Happens when toggling play stop fast.

AFAICT, once they're stuck, the only way to get rid of them is thru toggling mono/poly with each sound, in the VI window.

I tried some of my most demanding setups, and there was not a single stuck note. But that doesn't mean anything was fixed: I had no stuck notes before 7.23. Well, maybe once a week, but easily unstuck. (start/stop) I don't think that kind of stuck note is really a "stuck note."

I don't know what they fixed, but the true stuck note problem that some were having seems to me to be a combination of system-wide circumstances. That MOTU was able to claim that they fixed that would be practically a bit of magic, and if true, it would certainly speak highly of their programmers, for they're fixing a problem which was only partly due to DP in the first place. If it were totally DP's fault, we'd all be getting them.

Yes, a bit.

I have no stuck notes requiring complete system reset now. the ones that stick now are occasional and command 0 re-setable. Really no issues AFAIC.

I've got reams of stuck notes with 7.24; Anyone know where I can find the 7.23 update? MOTU doesn't post it anymore and they won't reply to my Technote request for a download of 7.23. (I'm running 10.5.8 on a 8 core Mac

I hesitate to offer any advice here.
You didn't mention what VI's or MIDI synths were sticking.
I haven't had any stuck notes in 7.23 or 7.24.
Maybe update your OS from 10.5.8 to 10.6.8 on a clone boot drive and see if that fixes it.
