INstalling SL and DP on a flashdrive

If you have say a 64gig portable flashdrive, would it be possible to install SL and DP on it, or am I dreaming.

One way to find out. But I do believe that authorizations of DP are MACHINE SPECIFIC, and as such, the flash drive may not be recognized as a "machine." That would be interesting. Another problem would be access speed. Flash drive are generally SLOW and I doubt you could get any decent response from the app if you could authorize it. But still, worth a try.

If you take a drive with DP and switch bays, you need to re-authorize even though the drive will boot in the new position. I found that out on my G5 last summer.
