Does Soundcloud work at all in Snow Leopard?

Since getting my new computer set up last November, I have increasingly been sent to Soundcloud links, none of which have ever played.

My brother sent me a one-day-only link today (he is Dir. of Comm. at NEC), so I finally took some time to Google for answers, but after an hour of trying suggestions, still cannot get the play button to work in Safari, Opera, Camino, or Firefox -- even after adding soundcloud.com as a whitelisted site in ClickToFlash.

My head is a jumble after all I've gone through the past hour, including downloading a desktop version of Soundcloud from the Apple App Store that requires a mysterious and unknown login, and somehow accidentally signing up for a Soundcloud account via my Facebook login (this came later).

I haven't the time to sort through this sea of confusion and apparently incomplete steps involving my new blank/default Soundcloud account and how to find out my login info for the desktop app version of Soundcloud, as I have to leave for an all-day private party gig in less than an hour, but at least want to resolve the browser-hosted Soundcloud problem on one or more of my browsers today if I can, so that I can hear this Jimi Hendrix special that my brother linked me to (as performed by an NEC student, I gather):

Longer-term, I also want to figure out Soundcloud as a service, as many recommend it over MySpace and Facebook's barely-working music hosting pages for linking music via on-line community services such as MySpace and Facebook.

Working over here. I'm on 10.6.7, Firefox 4.0.

FYI, I saw a Soundcloud app in the App store - don't know if that could help you.

Late to the party but no problems with Soundcloud here in SL 10.6.6 inside Firefox 3.6.16 Didn't have to download anything, sign up for anything, files play just fine. I did have to give it permission to play because I run NoScript but otherwise A-OK.

OSX and Firefox up to date and everything working fine.

Hmm, come to think of it, I think I skipped the last OS X update and then forgot about it (I was in the middle of a session at the time). I'll check all my version stati this weekend and see if maybe I have some incompatibilities.

Don't do the 10.6.7 update or you'll screw yourself. It's not ready for primetime. Get the combo update for 10.6.6 instead.

Thanks for the heads-up. I am on 10.6.6, but did NOT do the Combo Updater this most recent time as it seemed a small update (or maybe I was just in a rush). Maybe that's the source of my troubles. Good rule of thumb is to ALWAYS go for the Combo Updater, and maybe stay one revision behind.
