I'm having a problem with the channel/track view in the mixing board shifting by itself. Almost always happens when I'm working on the right side of the mixing board. My mix window is not wide enough to display all channels at once, so I shift the view (with the slider at the bottom of the window) to the far right to automate a fader on that end of the mixing board. In play mode, even after I've clicked on a fader and am in the process of moving it (mouse still clicked) the mixing board view suddenly shifts all the way to the left, so I can't even see the channel I was automating. If I shift it back, it happens again, sometimes immediately. If I select only the channel I'm trying to automate for view and begin automating, often the track selector will change by itself, displaying all channels, once agin preventing me from seeing the channel I'm trying to automate.
Sometimes running Disc Utility and restarting clears things up for awhile. But today I tried that, then did a disc repair from the OSX Install disc, and when I went back to DP the behavior continued. I spent an hour on the phone with MOTU tech support, who suggested loading the project into a new "empty" project, but still no luck. This happens in every project.
I do this for a living and it is killing my productivity. If anyone has suggestions I would be most grateful!
