Bad luck with 828mk3s...

Post by FutureLegends »

Hey!

I had an issue with my 828mk3 that it often had to loop the load of CueMix FX at startup. By MOTU's recommendation I sent it to them (all this detailed in other threads).
Now I've finally got a replacement unit that seems to be working perfectly. Except - the FW port is super sensitive. The slightest disturbance of the FW cable causes the unit to loose the connection with the computer. Tried both ports with three different FW cables with the same result.

Anyone else experienced this?

I really like the 828mk3, sounds great and the features are just what I need. But seems I can't run out of bad luck with them :(

Cheers

I'm suffering with the same situation, I run two systems for background tracks and I'm worried about this because the stage shakes so I'm now testing with the USB port which seems less sensitive

Anybody knows if there is a performance difference between the two interface modes?

Also I've connected FW & USB simultaneously and I haven't seen any trouble, is this ok?

Thanks for any reply
