Skype Headset for talkback

I saw a discussion here about using skype for remote collaboration efforts and wondered, might one use a skype headset for a talkback/monitor set up? I just don't know how a USB device (the skype headset) might be incorporated into DP so it can send (talkback) and receive audio. The discussion centered on sound flower and other apps to facilitate the effort.

Reporting back on this. I bought the Plantronics headset with the built in mic from the skype web page. Works just fine, but I'm probably working harder than needed to implement it. I've inserted a send on each track that I might want to listen to individually. That send goes to an aux that outputs to the headset. I've then added audio tracks for each musician that I might want to address individually and set the input to the Plantronics headset and the output to the headphone mixer input that matches that individual. I'm a hobby user, so it will be a while before I can use it in a session, but I'll report back then too.

How do I stop Skype from automatically signing in? When I start Skype, it automatically logs me in. For privacy reasons, I would rather it didn't. After searching for a while I was unable to find a way to change this setting. Browsing the Skype forums was also to no avail. Is there a way I can keep Skype from automatically logging in?
