Cuemix FX Issue

Hey guys, amazing forum you have and I'm glad to be a new member!
I just picked up a 828MKIII and cuemix fx is awesome. However, I want to be able to monitor the live inputs via cuemix fx with the EQ and comp in...but not actually record wet to my DAW.
Please help, I just got this yesterday so I'm a total newb to the layout and what not. Long time recording dude and MOTU user, but cuemix fx is a whole other beast.

Don't worry about recording "wet". The output of the stereo reverb unit is not mixed with any of the inputs. Open up control panel's "Sound", and look at the list of recording inputs. You'll see a long list of inputs that you can choose to set your DAW to record. Keep scrolling down the list and you'll eventually see two "Reverb return" inputs. Those are the stereo reverb (left and right). Nothing but reverb. All the other inputs are the various other MOTU inputs... dry.
So if you actually do want to record something wet, for example line in 1 and 2, then you need to record 4 DAW tracks simultaneously (ie, Line in 1, Line in 2, Reverb return 1, and Reverb return 2). Then, you've got the reverb on separate tracks in your DAW, so you can mute it at any time. Or you can combine your DAW tracks if desired.
In other words, the reverb is its own "input" that you can set a DAW track to record... or not.
There's one exception (at least with Ultralite -- not sure about the 828). If you run the "MOTU Console" utility, there's a setting you can enable to have the MOTU itself mix its reverb with the "Main in 1" and "Main in 2" inputs. Then those two inputs are always "wet".

I don't think it's possible to not record EQ and dynamics applied to the inputs. In another thread, I think someone was talking about using different mix buses for each input you're processing and applying it at the output stage as a workaround. Don't have it in front of me right now, but maybe think along those lines.
