Hi and Happy Holidays.
I Have a Motu 896 mk3. When I use it with Avid Media Composer V5, outputs 3,4,5,6,7 and 8 display full signal, like if there was a feedback or clock issue. I have been unable to find what causes this... Any ideas?

Does Media Composer support third-party external audio interfaces? I would assume that it doesn't, but I don't actually know for sure. Do you have any problems if you use the computer's built-in audio hardware or an Avid-approved I/O box (from Avid, Matrox, etc.)?

Avid is supposed to work with any interface. Actually, it is working with the 896, audio is coming out from the main outs, it's just that there is also a full signal present at the other analog outs and I can't find were it comes from. If I connect them to an audio device it's just noise. I was told at the Avid forum that "Avid" don't like multichannel interfaces....
It works fine with the computer audio and with a Mbox I also have, it's just I wish I did not have to be switching interfaces.
Will keep looking for a solution.
Thanks!

I'd be curious to know if you have the same problem with other devices besides the 896. Do you have any other audio interfaces with more than two outputs? If it happens with a different device and driver, then it's probably Avid's fault.
