Burn to a .iso image?

Hi,

I need to create a .iso CD image of a project but I haven't managed to find an easy way of doing it, so I wondered if anyone had any bright ideas.

The best I've been able to do is burn a real CD, then make an image file from it in OS X itself. That seems to be an awful waste of hydrocarbons (and time!) as the CD then gets put straight in the bin.

Does anyone have a better way?

Life would be so much simpler if DP wrote .iso files instead of its own .acdi format!

Toast software does this, but I think it is their own format, maybe.

(not much help, perhaps)

Hi,

there are 2 free CD/DVD burning apps that also can creat iso disk images from whatever you would like to burn to media. One is called "burn" http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and the other one is called "LiquidCD" http://www.maconnect.ch" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I think either one could solve your problem.
