Hi, I have a 64 bit capable Mac, 10.6.4, the 896mk3 interface and DP V7.21. As I understand, I can run DP in 64 bit mode and improve performance. If so, how do I set DP to run in 64 bit mode? It shows as NO in the 64 bit mode tab in about this mac-applications-info.

.

DP is not 64 bit-ready yet.

Are you having performance issues?

Is DP supposed to work at 64bit yet?

I tried it with the new RME 64 bit drives in snow and no 64 in the menu appears.

I'm working with big live show sessions, over two hours 52 tracks, I can't complain about the performance, some times I get the warning but with this files sizes I consider it acceptable. I was told DP was 64 bit ready, thus the question.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, it appears you were misinformed. If my purchasing decision depends on a feature, I always try to verify something like this before the purchase, either by contacting the manufacturer/developer directly or through a forum. In many cases the former is more desirable, because you can sometimes get incorrect information on forums.

I'm surprised you didn't know this. Apparently it's not yet. I'm going to add this to another similar thread.

Believe me James. I don't know a whole bunch'a'stuff. Because RME wasn't ready I was never even interested but now the new drivers are out and now I'm ready to rumble. I can't wait to try 64SR and 64bit. :)
