Audio Plug-ins mono only issue

Hi, I'm new to the forum as well as DP. Can anyone help with an audio plug-in issue? I've experienced and issue today when trying to use plug-ins. After creating stereo audio tracks I only have mono plug-ins available in the audio plug-in menu. For example, Altiverb only appears as a mono version. Yesterday I had no problems with the stereo version. I am recording MIDI and audio tracks simultaneously via EW Play MIDI channel 1-1 and output channel 3-4 (output Play, input DP track). Any help would be appreciated.

In the Mixer window, the stereo versions of the plugins should appear on the inserts automatically. At least that's how it's supposed to work.
Now, are you not *hearing* the sounds in stereo? Or is it that the stereo tracks only have mono plugins listed?
Tell us a little more about your version of DP and OSX. Also, what are the current settings of your Bundles (Studio menu) and your Hardware Driver configuration (Setup menu> Configure Audio System)?

If your track output is set to a mono output you are only going to see mono plug-ins....your track need to be set to a stereo output such as the mains out 1-2 to see all plug-ins. it doesn't have to be a stereo track just has to be assigned to a stereo output

Since he mentioned he had created stereo tracks, and he's accessing plug-ins from the Audio Menu, he may be seeing the same problem I'm seeing.

Dan-- did you run *all* the updates in sequential order after the version on the install disc? Otherwise, some important files might have been skipped.

Hi, Frodo,
My install disk came with 7.2, so I went from 6.03 to 7.2 and then to 7.21. So after using the install disk I didn't skip over a version, like going from 7.0 to 7.2.
Thanks for helping.
c-ya,
Dan

I have the same thing too, it's been like that for some time... I think it is just a display glitch, processing a stereo soundbite does produce a new stereo file (and previews in stereo too)
Cheers

You're absolutely right, Stephen! The menu reads mono but they are stereo. Geez, I feel stupid.

I never thought of just going ahead and trying it. I just took it for face value.
Thanks so much for clearing that up. It saves me a lot of extra work.

HI, it's my first post on this forum. Actually I get this same issue with DP 7.21, maybe just a "display glitch", but Stillwell Audio's Bombardier compressor doesn't seem to really like it; when I choose to apply the mono version to a mono file, I get this nasty alert:
and then, half the time, DP crashes...So I think that the problem is not really just in display. I had mail exchange with Scott from Stillwell Audio, he didn't experience this problem before. So i'm thinking now of making an uninstall of DP, then install it again, and install plugins one by one and see....it's giving me headache.

Can somebody post a small project with a text file explaining what steps to take in what order to reliably reproduce this issue? If you can, you can create a ticket on my helpdesk system and attach the file to the ticket.
I'd surely appreciate it.

@ kassonica: did you resolve the problem with bombardier? I posted a new message to Scott@stillwell, attached a small DP project, screen record and all the stuff but no answer..

Still unresolved, but I haven't really looked into it either.
