Is there a driver for Win XP SP2 that is correct? Driver without crackling in sound, with working GSIF, that not rasing VST performance in Cubase when used Cuemix FX ....

Not sure. I have XP SP3 on the one XP machine, and the latest MOTU driver works fine on that.

This could be a driver/OS issue, or a shared IRQ issue. Read some of my other replies in the latest threads about sound playback issues. Just because the thread title may mention a different MOTU model doesn't mean it's not applicable to you. All MOTU devices share similiar architecture (and use the same driver set).

Well, this is always going to happen. The Cuemix software panel runs separately from Cubase and it accesses the same firewire bus as Cuebase's output to the MOTU. There's a contention for that bus when you operate the programs simultaneously. (But Cuemix shouldn't be a problem unless you're fiddling with it while Cuebase is actually playing/recording).

I don't use Gigastudio, so I can't directly attest to it. But there's a chapter in my Ultralite manual about Gigastudio. Do you have that chapter in your manual? I presume you ran the Motu Audio Console and set the sample rate to what Gigastudio wants. Then you went to gigastudio's File -> System Settings menu, flipped to the hardware page, and found the "Motu AudioWire" GSIF device listed. You then checked the "Enable" (ie, click within the enable column) next to each input and output you want gigastudio to use.

As for reducing the conflict between Cuemix and Cubase, don't run Cuemix FX from your Start menu. Instead, run it from within Cubase. I don't use Cubase so again I'm reading from the manual. You need to go into Cubase's "Device Setup" window, select the "MOTU Audio Asio" item (under "VST Audio System") and then click the "Control Panel" button. This should bring up the Cuemix FX window from within Cubase, and thereby minimize it interfering with Cubase playback.
