i7 vs quad 2.8

Post by KarlSutton »

I need more power for rendering video - $3K is total budget

would love to stay portable, but if the tower is twice the power of the laptop I'd go that direction

so how does an i7 Macbook Pro compare to the entry level Mac Pro?

(strictly horsepower - not comparing I/O & expansion options)

Go here http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-comparison and select the models, it will give you a side-by-side comparison. It will also give you their Geekbench scores.

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.
