Touch my Bamboo for Fun

I mean Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch from Wacom.

Picked one up at Fry's ($200 or $170 @ Amazon) yesterday and have been working in DP and Finale on and off.

The big disappointment is you cannot "pinch" zoom in and out in either app. Scrolling navigation is nice, but my mouse does a better job by programming the side to side wheel motion. Other than that, I don't see a big value in terms of what I will be using it for and will probably return it. I mean, $250 gets me a duplexer for my wide format laser printer which I'll use a lot more and it will save me time.

I'm just sayin - cool as it is, it's a graphics tablet and it's impact for music apps is no as useful as one might hope. Fun to play with, but if you;re gonna touch something, there are better things to touch that are much cheaper - free even.

I don't recommend it unless you're doing graphics. But THAT aspect is killer! In Photoshop it is just a whole never level of working.

It works great with the "Graphic" interface of Antares Auto-tune:) That's the only application I use it
for.(besides Photoshop)

Not surprised. IF it worked in all apps the way it woks in P'shop or Preview, it'd be great. I wish there was an shareware driver like Steermouse or USBOverdrive for it. THe latter says it works with trackpads, but not this one.
