I didn't find any discussion of templates in previous talk of the MPK series. I might have seen something about it over on another forum, so will check later.

The MPK series of controllers are my favourites from the past few years, in terms of feel, action, ergonomics, board layout, and features. They are built solid, and there's even a new 88-key weighted board. I expect the drivers are probably more stable on the Mac than the oft-troublesome Roland/Edirol or E-Mu drivers, but Korg has generally had reliable Mac drivers (though most of their controllers now are built to preserve desk-space vs. meant as gigging or recording controllers).

Did you check the Akai website? Usually there are templates supplied by the vendor, but not always included on an installation CD in the box. Sometimes a template for a similar product, or one on the same platform (like Logic) can be a good starting point, if there isn't a dedicated one for DP.
