combining DP files

Can I import one DP project into another and if so does it retain its format and tempo settings? I'm a jack of all trades indi producer/director/cameraman/editor/compositor/animator/musician etc. I freely admit I am master of nothing and learn what I need to know usually just before I do it. It works for me. I have made 10 separate DP projects one for each piece of music and have mixed them to both 5.1 and stereo. Some of these projects have as many as 28 tracks. I now need to compile them with the soundtrack for final output to blue ray disc. I may need to add sounds or adapt the arrangements to a slightly adjusted edit as the director (me) tweaks the dynamics. Ideally, I would like to work directly in my project files rather than from the mixdowns. Is it easy to bring them all together?
p.s. I use a second video card to output HD to an HD TV.

Yes with full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. Its not a brilliant card just an old Nvidia I had lying around. I edit using Cineform 4K HD intermediate avi or mov files using their free player but it should work with straight QT mov files too. I would think that anything powerful enough to display the resolution would do.
