Syncing 2 x 828 Mk1 then into my MiniDAC. Is this possible?

Hi,

I was recently made aware I can run a 828Mk1 into my MiniDAC via SPDIF. This is handy as otherwise thanks to only being able to select one ASIO device for both in and out It would have been one or the other.

I have since bought an 828 Mk1 from Ebay. It hasn't arrived yet so I can't try out the above but I have it on good authority this will work fine.

I really need more Analogue ins and outs now and was wondering would it be possible to run an 828 Mk1 into another 828 Mk1 and then into my DAC.

I notice the 828 Mk1 has SPDIF in and out so im guessing Firewire from PC to 828 A, then SPDIF out on 828 a to 828 B SPDIF in, then 828 Bs SPDIF out to MiniDAC in.

I theory the above sounds ok but I have never used SPDIF before until now.

Does this sound feasible? Anyone know for sure if it would work before I splash out my hard earned on another 828 mk1?

( The reason I would want to do this is I require 16 analogue ins and outs and there are only 8 per 828 mk 1 )
