I don't think the driver is supposed to show up in the Control Panel, at least my Traveler MK3 doesn't show up in my Control Panel.

Go to your Playback Devices. Is the Ultralite on the list at all?

You're sure you downloaded the right driver? I know this is very basic but just want to make sure.

Hmm, did you install the driver before plugging the Ultralite in?

Sounds like you're doing all the right things. Maybe you should call MOTU's tech support.

bit of an update:

i tried installing the drivers through device manager... ive managed to install all drivers but the MOTU Wave 64-bit.. i keep getting the BSOD everytime i try to install it..

with my previous computer setup i had trouble with the BSOD as well... everytime i switched on the soundcard i had worry it would go to BSOD..

i think its time to upgrade from the ultralite

im running legit copy fo windows 7 so it cant be anything to do with that

Well if you are getting BSODs then I definitely think it's something with your system and not the Ultralite.

I'm using a Ultralite Hybrid on a i7-920/ASUS P6T Deluxe 2 under Vista 64 bit which is pretty similar your rig and it's behaving flawlessly atm.

So I don't think its the UL.

If you navigate to Device Manager via the Control panel you should see the MOTU drivers (ASIO, WDM and MIDI) in 'sound, video and game controllers'. Do you?

If you look in 'programs and features' all you will see is 'MOTU Firewire USB installer for 64 bit windows'. Do you?

The cuemix executable should be in > program files(X86) > MOTU > Audio. Is it?

The Audio Console should be in 'program files > MOTU > audio. Is it?

You should be using the latest driver install package 64fw-3.7.39083 dated 10.3.2010. Are you?

Start your PC (with drivers installed ofc) and leave the UL switched OFF. Navigate to Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Sound. You should NOT see any MOTU entries in either 'playback' or 'Recording' at this point. Turn ON the UL. Wait a few moments and you should see all your MOTU inputs and outputs appear. Do you?
