Hi
I have two 828mk3 interfaces and placed it via firewire serial to the computer.
computer - firewire (1. mk3 - in) - firewire (out) - 2. mk3 firwire in
In cuemix and windows vista I have two windows (#1 and #2).
I set the clock source to mk3#1 internal - it's right ???
If I connect only one interface, I can use ist all ok. With both interfaces I have trouble, no output sound from the computer in any variations ?? In cuemix I've only see meters from the mk3, which is the clock source (inernal clock) ??
Help to the right settings please.
- Windows Vista -

Mici

Hey Mici,

Take a gander at these for information about the long-time infamous multiple MOTU firewire issues :

Hi friends,

I've solved the problem like follow.
1. Make firewire connection
- Notebook - mk3#1 (in)
- mk3#1(out) - mk3#2 (in)
2. Turn on mk3#1
- wait until boor process finish
3. Turn on mk3#2
- wait until boor process finish
- the clock indication at mk3#1 is blinking and input led segments are blinking randomize - goin on and off .. ??
- now any time is gone (1 - 4 minutes) and !!!
- the mk3#1 and mk3#2 are synchronized
the clock led on both interfaces are on - no blinkng
- at motu audio console the mk3#1 is the clock master (internal) without any input at myself
3. Start Cueix Console
- the mk3#2 ist fall back to - the clock indication at mk3#1 is blinking and input led segments are blinking randomize - goin on and off .. ??
- now any time is gone (1 - 4 minutes) and !!!
- the mk3#1 and mk3#2 are synchronized
4. start cubase, make connections and start the record process at 20 analog channels (test with 2 channels with input signals only)
I hope with 20 actie input signals - this works fine for me (test later)

System:
Windows Vista Home Premium - 32 Bit
Service Pack 2
AMD Turion 24x2 – 2 GHz
