I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT

My brother owns a recording studio and has always used macs and DP6. I was using a P.C and some cheap recording software to record my practices. I recently got a new Macbook
I was using garage band for a while. even that app blows away a lot of P.C software. Now I have DP6. What an incredible package. Now I can do drum tracks and send the file off to be mixed. I am stunned at the quality and how easy the macbook is to use. The sound quality is amazing. Every time I use my P.C I think what a pile of crap. The only bummer is that there is no firewire, just USB2. I will never buy another P.C again.

Nice post!
Welcome to the Club, and thanks for sharing your experience
And if you are digging DP6, try to upgrade to DP7.1 when you can. It is MUCH better in many ways, believe it or not!

Welcome aboard! Not only is there great Mac software to work with, but the hardware is pretty awesome too. I just installed some new RAM in my MacPro, and it took no more than 5 minutes. It was so easy to do!
+1 on DP7. It is a significant step up from DP6.

Yes, welcome. I don't really want to get into the Mac vs. PC thing. Really, whatever platform works for the individual is cool. Speaking for myself, however, you've just discovered what I did a bit over 20 years ago when I bought my Mac SE. There IS a difference and for me, the difference is indeed worth it!

Thanks for the warm welcome. There is a lot of useful info on this forum, and it seems you guys actually no what you are talking about. I'm sure you will be hearing from me with lots
of questions about DP6. I just scratched the surface of this software,I am in no big hurry either. So far I am having fun with what i have and just chip away and learn as i go.
Again Thanks

I won't-- publicly, but just look at that burger!
Getting off red meat and pancakes must be akin to getting off crack, but I digress.
