EZ Drummer weirdness...

I've finally got round to having a prolonged session on EZ Drummer and have some issues with DP. When i drag the drum pattern from the EZ window onto a MIDI track in DP it goes a bit berzerk for a bit and appears to be dropping multiple instances of the pattern onto the track. Sometimes it will dump the pattern on the MIDI pattern below and in one case created 30 new MIDI tracks on my sequence ! It seems a bit hit or miss to get it on straight away. Anyone else having weirdness ? Or am i doing something really stupid....
Thanks as ever.....

Don't worry, well...?
I do have the same problem on DP6.0.3., but finally the pattern/loop is locked where I want.
Sometimes I have to do it twice.
It looks like a wrong settled sight of a fighter, looking after his target, moving up/down/
left/right until it finds it.

This is a known issue in 6.01 and 6.02. It was fixed in 7. However, the workaround I used to use was using ToonTrack SOLO to audition the grooves and then drop them into the grid. Using TT SOLO outside DP this way works fine.
One other method provided you still have it on your machine, is to do the drum programming in DP 6. Drop and drag worked fine there also. Then you can open that project in 6.02 and carry on.
Hope this helps.....

I've had it seemingly paste multiple versions of the same loop onto a DP 6.03 track, but it winds up actually only being one (I also am using Tiger, which might make a difference). I'll grant you that it's odd behavior, but it hasn't caused any problems yet, just me doing a double-take when I see multiple selections flash onto a MIDI track.

Yes... bug in DP 6, fixed in DP 7. My workaround was to drag from EZ drummer to the desktop, then from desktop to DP. YMMV. Come to think of it, I did that workaround with Addictive Drums, but it may work for EZ Drummer.

Thanks guys, will have a crack this afternoon. I'm waiting to get a big project done then i'm going to venture into Snow Leopard land and get DP7. That will no doubt fix the problem and create and whole load more !

if you uncheck the record button on SD in the tracks window before you drag you wont get this happening, from memory.

Perhaps, but the problem also included multiple copies being created when you dropped. You'd get duplicate notes.
