Hey all...tryin' to tighten up my tracks, rhythmicaly. What is the sequential order of commands in DP 6.03 to do this?
I sometimes record with a click and sometimes just during countoff. Background processing is set to 1) Automatically analyze beats in this project, and 2) Automatically analyze the tempo of audio that has no tempo.
Here's how I see it, tell me if I'm on the right track.
while in Sequence Editor....
1) record audio track (no MIDI)
2) select track
3) from Audio menu - set sync point at first beat
4) Quantize - beats within soundbites
5) analyze tempo
6) from audio menu - Adjust soundbite to Sequence Tempo
Is that it, or am I missing something? Where does the Conductor track fit into this equation? Where exactly is the Beat Detection Engine command located in DP? Is it in the Background Processing menu as mentioned above, or hidden in some other menu?
How do the pros tighten up tracks in DP?
Appreciate your input/thought/suggestions...
Analyzing tempos/Beat detection. Quantizing...etc.

Go back to the manual on this one. There's a good walkthrough for what you're doing.
