Tell me about it. Two days ago someone gave me a file on a thumb drive and my Windows laptop was infected with an w32/Autorun-AZA trojan. It's new as of 2/2 supposedly and waiting for virus definitions to be updated by Avast before I can get rid of this thing! Ugh.

I LOVE my Mac... it keeps my house warm too and saves me on heating bills!

I still have it but I'm talking about the Mac Pro! I like what it does for my studio... makes it all nice and toasty when I come in.... I just turn it on and come in an hour later and it's a nice 65 degrees! I live near the cascades in Washington and it gets a bit cool here so It's saves me on heating an extra room... it's normal for this box though to run a bit warm.

I know it sure makes you glad to get back to your Mac.
I just had a browser redirect bug on my Dell notebook, extremely annoying.
Avast5 works OK but I had to use Hijackthis to get rid of it.

I bought Avast5 Pro and fortunately with a recent update, scan on boot now finds this and it zapped it off of one of my Windows laptops which was a good thing as they constant notice that Avast had blocked this malware was disconcerting. On top if it, it somehow prevented menus from drawing in MS Word. After Avast deleted the problem files, all is good again.

I've been on 4.8 for a while I've tried them all I think Avast5 pro is one of the best.
I just can't imagine running a DAW in a Windows box.
DP7.1 + Macpro = 1 Happy Me

Yes, I am very happy I have a Mac.
As for this article, the troubling part is that it doesn't list which operating systems and browsers are most at risk, and certainly the phone authorization spoofing has nothing to do with operating systems. They really need to provide more data.
