Anyone using the Toft ATB with DP?

I'm starting to have trouble with my Spirit Digital 328 mixer and I'm considering going back to an analog board. I really like the 328 but I think it may be time for a change. Has anyone had any experience with the Toft ATB or something similar? There are times when I need 16 mic pres, so going mixerless is not an option.

yup, moi

it's a great mixer for the cost... great tone and character, plus, I love mixing OTB, or Hybrid is a better wat to put it...

I do a lot of plug-ins, editing and automation on DP

While it's not the most quiet of consoles you are not going to get anything better at anywhere near this price point. If you understand the basics of gain structure it's a very good desk. Nothing beats being able to grab a fader or eq without having to think about opening a plugin.

I test drove a Toft ATB 16 last spring and was less than impressed with the higher than expected noise floor, high cost and the unbalanced direct outs. On the other hand the layout and EQ's were excellent.

After a few more months of testing consoles, I ended up buying a SoundCraft LX7ii and still had money left in my pocket...:D

I'd suggest renting a console and making sure it does what you want. It's a fair chunk of change to plunk down and then be unhappy with it.

My $.02 any way.
