I don't know if this is a problem for anyone else, but I have been experiencing long load times (45 sec. to a minute and a half) when I start up my first project in the morning or when switching between projects in DP 7.02.

I will go out on a limb and say that I think it is my Waves plugs; when I disable them things move along like they used to with DP 5.13. Reenabling them after loading a project causes the spinning beach ball to appear for about 45 seconds.

Altiverb seems to hang things up a bit as well.

I'm on an 8 core 3GHz Snow Leopard (10.6.2) machine with a couple of HD 192's through a PCIe-424. I run all my VI's and plugins in real time.

I still have Waves version 6... would upgrading to version 7 fix this? This has been a problem ever since upgrading to DP 7.

Other than this issue I am really happy with the stability of version 7.02....

A friend of mine just recently emailed me to say that by upgrading to Waves 7 his problems in DP7 are essentially gone. Now, I'm still on Waves 6 and I haven't had too much trouble with Waves and DP7, but I will admit I've been staying away from Waves more 'n more lately (trying to avoid the WUP!). If you use Waves plugs a lot, it might be worth it to jump up to Waves 7.
