pcie, Vista 64...something's not right. help?

Ok,
I have a 24 i/o, pcie card, Intel duo quadcore PC with 8 gb of RAM, running Windows Vista Home premium 64 bit.
So I followed the instructions and downloaded the drivers (extracted files and all that). The computer sees the pcie card, listing the pcie console. My DAW (Reaper) does not see the pcie card. I get an error message that says 'no motu device detected'.
I'm also a littled confused as I was expecting to see the cuemix console like I did with my old Mac G5...no cuemix console? I don't understand. How would I map ins and outs without it? Is there something I'm supposed to download other than the PCI driver from MOTU? I tried downloading the firewire device driver as well (figured it couldn't hurt) even though I don't think I needed to, but it didn't help at all either. Unfortunately, i bought these items secondhand, so I can't get support from MOTU-although in the past when I did have registered motu stuff, they were less than helpful anyway.
So...thoughts? Thanks in advance!
Chris
