Hi,

I want to streamline my setup and get one of those usb > MIDI cables that
would replace my Fastlane.

Will I really notice any timing difference losing the MIDI Time Stamping feature of the Fastlane?

I use DP7.

Does the Fastlane have MTS? I wasn't aware of that, but maybe it's in all MOTU USB interfaces. I think it's definitely supposed to be an improvement.

Yes Fastlane supports MTS.

Can anyone testify to it being superior to non-Motu (i.e non MTS) MIDI hubs???

Maybe not but Don't forget the MOTU's driver is pretty solid and working closely with DP. I've had Terrible experience with an M-Audio keyboard plugged USB. I finally ditched it. Nowadays, both my CME and My Yamaha controllers will act up once in a while with their USB connection whereas they never fail while they are plugged through my MTP-AV.

My 2 cents.
