Performance: Tiger vs. Leopard

First of all, my equipment:

2408 MK II
PM DP 2.0GHZ, 4 GB RAM
Digital Performer 7

I've got Leopard installed however I was wondering if I would see any performance benefits/extra cpu cycles by downgrading to Tiger? My other machine, a MDD G4 DP 1Ghz, was running Leopard, however I put Tiger on that and the performance increase was noticeable. Will the same sort of thinking carry over to the G5 with DP 7?

Thanks for your thoughts,
Eric

As someone who has never used Leo for DP (allthough I do use it for most other computing tasks) I wonder, too. I can say that when I installed Leopard on an iBook G4, the laptop's performance ebbed considerably.

The installer wouldn't let me install Leopard on my particular iBook G4. Said it wasn't supported. I must have a very early model.
