I got an old 24i from a friend. I have a Windows Vista machine with the 424 card, and it is showing up properly in the device manager, however the 24i is never recognized in the MOTU audio console program.

I also have a Window XP Pro machine with a 324 card, it gives me the same result as above with the 24i.

Is there a specific driver I need to install for the 24i ?

Sounds to me like the 24i is the issue... I'd be having words with the friend to get him to exhibit it functioning on a known working system, or start beating him round the head with it.

Open MOTU PCI Audio Console, not MOTU Audio Console.
