motu 828 mk2 dim screen

the screen on my motu828 mk2 that i just picked up from ebay, is very very dim, almost unreadable unless in a darker environment.
Is it supposed to be like this?

If you call MOTU, they should replace the display for you.

They may charge you to do it. If you bought it on eBay it may not be under any sort of warranty. If it's really abnormally dim it sounds like something the seller should have disclosed.

same here. it happened an hour ago. my motu is only a year and a half. i'm lucky, still under warranty.
