Tonehammer / Mach V, a good choice?

Hello,

Two questions/concerns here.

I am a long time DP and Motu user (12+years). I am really in need of a good sampler. Naturally, the Kontakt vs Mach 5 question is an important one, especially considering the price difference. As a DP user, I like the idea of solid Sampler/Sequencer compatibility..although I've read of Mach 5 being resource heavy as compared to Kontakt. Any observations?

Second, I will be using some Tonehammer sounds, which are designed for Kontakt. Has anyone used Tonehammer sounds on Mach 5? How elegant is the Kontakt compatibility?

Thank you very much.

I have both and do find M5 to be far more resource heavy. And with K3.5 now using as much RAM as you've got, there's no comparison. Unfortunate,as I far prefer Mach 5's interface and editing for me is far more intuitive.

I have Tonehammer:Barbary and just tried loading it into M5. It played OK but didn't seem to bring across the mod wheel/pitch wheel programming.
