need help with audio bundles issues

I got a new intel mac and decided to get an M audio lightbridge interface (32 channels of adat going to My Mackie D8b digital board) rather than get a new pcie card for my old MOTU 2408.Opening my active projects on the new machine is a mess. Apparently the M audio driver doesn't want to count my channels 1 and 2 and only wants to see channels 3 through 26. This is just the beginning of the mess. One project has a kik drum that was on track two but in the new version it is now shifted up to output 7. Confusing??
I went from DP 4.6 to version 6. Version 4.6 doesn't seem to allow the export and saving of an audio bundles setup like DP 6 can. I hope I am making sense.
Is there an easy way for me to open my projects that were done on DP 4.6 on my 2408 in my new mac with DP 6 and the M audio interface and have my routing assignments the way they were??? Some of these projects have several busses and get pretty involved.I would appreciate advice from anyone who has been through this. I am used to just opening projects and having things be as they were. Thanks for any help

What happens if you clean up one of the projects and then export the bundles to use in all the other projects? Have you tried that? Manually delete all the bundles before you import or you get an even bigger mess.

I went through something very similar. At least with 6 you don't have to worry about panning mono voices to make sure the entire signal strength gets to your board's inputs. That used to drive me nuts. Well, I guess that was in 3. I never used 4.

Good luck.

Thanks for answer. I think I found a workaround. Open a new session. Clear the audio bundles. Use the load function and bring in the chunk from the original session. I checked load soundbytes and most importantly audio bundles. The audio bundles are in the proper place. I merely reassign them so they turn from italic text to regular and I seem good to go. Perhaps I can just open the original session and use the load command to only load audio bundles from itself. It's late in Hawaii so I'll experiment more later. This is at least workable. Thanks

A lot of people who went from DP4.x to DP5 using the same interface had to rebuild their bundles.

Bundles in 4.x were called Audio Bundles but that was changed. User settings didn't always translate smoothly to the updated Bundles menu from earlier projects. There were a lot of threads about it when DP5 first appeared.

To rebuild, all assignments had to be deleted and re-assigned.

Also, the first routing to appear by default is the first (top-most) assignment made in Bundles. So if you want a specific bundle assignment for a specific interface to appear by default, make sure that bundle assignment is at the top of your Bundles list.

Maybe something here might help?
