Analog Inputs Too Low?

Ok two quick questions. I just got a MOTU 828mk3.

Why is the analog inputs volume so low in comparison to windows playback (any media file ex: mp3)?

For instance, if you place a backing track playing along (a mp3) and you play with a Keyboard connected to analog inputs the difference in volume is huge.
My Keyboard at max never goes above -6db. (Balanced TRS outputs).

Also when monitoring my Analog Ins 1-2 i have a pair of meters and something like "ghost meters" behind, as seen on this picture:

What´s the meaning of it? Is it at Input point and the other at Output point?

Thanks... It´s just that i never had a interface with such low signal inputs, is balanced audio signal supose to be like this?
