I know this is old news; but I didn't see it posted anywhere, nor did I find it in an archive search. So:

MOTU released Universal Audio Install v1.4.21 on May 29.

This install provides compatibility updates for Mac Intel processors, OS 10.5, and is compatible with OSX versions back to OSX 10.4.x.

Cuemix FX supports external control surfaces, talkback & listenback capabilities, and I/O port names. For the mk3 series interfaces, CueMix FX supports displays for realtime FFT, spectrogram, oscilloscope, XY plot, and phase analysis tools. Refer to CueMix FX addendum contained in archive.

Unzip and double-click installer, enter OSX Administrator password, choose Firewire USB install option, follow on-screen instructions and restart.

apparently this update comes with Cuemix FX but everytime i open it...nothing happens???

ok i installed this update which apparently has cuemix fx in which i can record my analog outputs back to a track in DP...but everytime i open cuemix fx it doesnt show up...it just shows the menus...the other version of cuemix (the gray console) is working fine...but doesnt have the option to mirror mix 1-2 back to dp.

is something wrong or can i not use it??

I could be wrong but I think cue mix fx only work on Firewire and USB devices and not on the 2408 which is PCI.

Works with my 828 MkII, and offers some nice enhancements, mot notably, stereo pairing of tracks on a single fader. Great for outboard stereo gear. The latest version fixed the "lost connection" MIDI bug in Audio MIDI Setup.

I'm sure many of us are growing tired of waiting for an updated PCI=based system from MOTU.

so...can i use it or not...????

if not...how can i record my main output back to a track in DP???
