will M5 v.2 still run Atmosphere?

I read an old post from a couple of years ago that stated M5 v.2 will load and run Atmosphere sounds.
is this still true?
I'm running 10.5.7 on a PPC dual 2.7 w/ 2.5 G of RAM G5 (not intel) and have lost Atmosphere and M5 v.1.23 since switching to Leopard. (DP 5.13)
If M5 v.2 will give me atosphere back it's worth the upgrade.
