Hi Im running DP 4.6 using MOTU828mkii - When I open DP and everything loads..immediately I hear beeps without playing the file or anything. I thought it might be the 828 so I performed a factory reset but still get the beeps. I tried an earlier update for the 828 but that didn't fix it. Any help on this one would be great. Thanks!

When you say "Everything loads", do you mean you are loading up a project in DP?

As far as I know, DP has never beeped, pinged or anything like that, but sometimes
plug-in companies build in beeps, pings, or bursts of white noise to their demo plug
versions. This is to remind you that you need to buy the plug if you want to use it.

Might this be the case?

Thank you for your message. Yes, I disabled all my plug-ins in DP -including Waves and Altiverb, and one by one enabled each back on. The problem was with Altiverb. I purchased each of these bundles about 3 years ago, but recently upgraded to a new version of Altiverb online. The upgrade was causing the beeping! So, I've reinstalled the original version and all is well.

I'd say this is correct.

Do you have any demo plugins or VIs ?

Glad you found it. So it was NOT DP randomly beeping or pinging. I will append [RESOLVED] lest this post not give the impression that there was something wrong with DP.

I'd say this is correct.

No demo plugins just the Waves Masters and Altiverb. Thus the reason we thought it might be DP because these have been working since 2004.
