Help - recording with analog & plugins - where to mix?

JUST CURIOUS HOW TO MIX TRACKS WHEN COMBINING ANALOG SYNTHS IN CONJUNCTION WITH PLUGINS?
Not too bright here. I'm using DP with a variety of plugins, and also I MIDI an analog rack of synths.
When it's all said & done, the mix is going thro my Mackie mixer, the plugins are going thro my 828 mkII to the mixer. The total mix is coming out of my Mackie mixer.
So ..... here I have this great mix, can't bounce the tracks internally in the computer because I'm hearing the analog tracks ........ NB: I've tried recording the analog tracks of what I'm hearing into inputs 7 and 8 on the 828 so as to have a stereo track in Performer ....... but I can't seem to get a loud level and there's a loop of some sort that affects the plugins as they're being played back at the same time ....... sorry for the confusion:
