i scored this on ebay a while ago for under 20 bucks, ive been using it as a MIDI merger using its merge all option, however i know i can get more use out if it then that. ive been sercing the internet and i can only com up with the new product line never anything related to what this is. it is a MIDI express, 4in 6out unit with 2 pc inputs by what almost look like ps/2 or S-Video ports.
havent relly been able to figure out any information about it at all has a copyright date of 1994 and a serial number of mxmd8303, anyone ever seen one of theise?

Well without a clearer picture I'm a bit hazy on it, but it's probably a early MOTU MIDI interface. Does it actually have a model name somewhere. I thought for a minute it might be a Mixer 7s, but I don't think so now. Someone else will chime in.
One thing though... those S-Video looking connections are older Macintosh serial connectors. RS-422 I believe and haven't been on modern Macintosh computers in many years.

It's not a MIDI Mixer 7s. It appears to be an original MIDI Express. (Maybe, um, have a look at the front panel for confirmation…) I wouldn't expect to find a ton of information about it on the web since it's so old that not many people are using them anymore. If you're lucky, MOTU might still have some copies of the manual left, so you might try calling them. The manual would help you with standalone front panel operation, which is about all you'll get out of this box unless you have a pretty old Mac.

I didn't think so. But it's been so long since I've seen a front panel like that. Actually never as I've always owned MTP's of some flavor or another.
