Mac Audiolab DVD- Is it worthy of purchase

Has anyone seen these tutorial dvd's? As a relative beginner with DP6 I am wondering if it is worth the $79 price tag, or if I should put that money towards upgrading my Drumkit from hell superior to Superior 2.0. Is it thorough enough to give me a strong knowledge of the program, or only a beginning? I would simply read the manual, but time constraints make it difficult. In addition, at least currently, I don't use any of the other applications that are reviewed on the dvd's (just DP 6).

.
Most tutorials (and I DO emphasize the word MOST) targeted to audio programs are great for beginners to mid-level knowledge. If they are well produced, generally, they offer a great overview, advice, and general stuff.
They are VERY convenient, especially for people that don't enjoy reading manuals. Just watching someone do something is a very natural way to learn.
That's exactly how I learnt the basics of the iLife suite... by watching the (free) Apple tutorials. They are very well presented, easy to follow, and you can just do whatever you need with those apps after watching them, literarily after a few minutes.
I suppose it comes down to how well produced they are, how deep they go, and how much you already know the program.
I'm glad to be able to say buying a DP tutorial would be a waste of my money at this point

I got the latest one and found it really catapulted my knowledge level. At < $100 I found it a steal - especially since this is a hobby and I only get to muck about in the studio a couple hours a day. Prior to this I'd blow two hours trying to figure out how to get one thing done. Now I watch a 20 minute video and practice that technique for an hour and a half. Learning much faster.

It is really really worth it
particularly if you are time constrained.

Thanks guys for the input. It seems these videos might be just the ticket for me. Limited time and limited knowledge make me very excited to get these vids. Thank you.

Is this company still in business? Mac Audio Lab. Their website doesn't have a phone number and emails are being returned. Are there any DP7 DVD tutorials out there? Thanks.

Hi Radiogal,
Groove3 has been upgrading their site. The link you posted doesn't point to the right location any longer. Here is a new link:

Groove3 dropped all their prices. The All Access Pass is well worth the $150/year. If you don't want to spend that much, you can buy a one month pass for $15 which would give you more than enough time to cover just the DP stuff. Eli and the gang do a great job.
