API A2D opinions?

Post by Tonio »

Any opinions on this piece? 2 512c pre's and conversion with mult i/o seems like a good deal.

Been considering a nice set of AD's plus another set of pre's and thought A2D might fit in. Though I gather my P-1's are similar to the API 512's.
Perhaps I should be looking at the Neve side for pre contrast?

The API A2D is the cheapest way to get an API preamp. And the value for what you get is amazing! So if you only need 2 API preamps just buy it.

Now if you aren't shure what to get that's another story. I prefer my Neve preamps to API, though the best would be to have both. They both compliment very well!

Hola Miguel,
Admission to 2 API pre's ++ is a great value.
Just have no experience with Neve pre's. I suppose a MA5 would get me a contrast, and possibly a good reason to add to my lunchbox :D
More flavor is a good thing!

Yes! After all that's what a lunchbox is what about: different colors!

Though i mostly use my neves because they sound great in everything, why bother?
