4.6 & UAD-1 3.9 conflict and work-around

I'm not sure if this has already been addressed.
According to the nice new Mac guy at UA:
With UAD-1 mono to stereo plugs used as inserts on mono audio tracks, sound will not pass (tracks become muted)
The work-around is to place any non UAD-1 mono to stereo
plug-in on the track, by-pass it and then place the desired
UAD-1 plug as stereo to stereo. Or if possible use it in an aux track. Hope that's helpful to some folks. As a result with the many unfinished client and personal projects I have, I think I'll wait on the 4.6. Thanks to all for the wealth of info on this site.
