When you pull up a instrument track and then go to select another VI from the window, some instruments show up in folders stating the manufacturer's name and some are just in a list. It seems to be rather random too with some from the same manufacturer in different locations as well ( IK Multimedia is one of those where some are in an IK folder and some are listed) Anyone know why that is and how you can make it so they all have their own sorted folders?

No one ever wondered this ? It's kind of nice when they are grouped together...If I can, I'd like to get them all this way

I think it has something to do with whether the manufacturer's field is filled in in the resource bundle of the plug and if there are multiple plugs from that manufacturer. So, if you have 2 native instruments plugs, it'll make a menu item Native Instruments with the Native Instruments plugs in a submenu. But if you just have one NI plug, there's no reason to make a sub menu. Just stick it in the main one.

There are also plug-ins which were developed by more than one company. An example is Albino 3. It doesn't show up in the LinPlug folder because Rob Papen designed it and LinPlug coded it. Another example is the stuff from G-Force. Minimonsta had major input from Ohm Force, so it doesn't appear in the G-Force folder.
