I've had this happen before and I cant remember what the heck I did to get it going again. It was going to storm last night so I shut down my whole studio including my rack with the 2408. This morning, I fire everything up but have no sound from my 2408. As my PC fires up, it gives out a couple of sudden loud bursts of static but then nothing once WIndows (XP SP3) fires up. No internet sound, no itunes sound, no WMP sound, nothing. Any ideas? I know my monitors and mixing console are working. Thanks.
Eric

Did you power up the mkII first? Or Windoze first?
Have you tried logging out and back in? Restarting the driver?
Check the Event Viewer, it might give you a clue as to what the problem is.

I think I initially started the PC without powering the 2408. I have reset the drivers numerous times. Now I have a steady chatter of white noise everytime I restart my PC, like the clock is out of sync but there's nothing for it to be out of sync with. Clock source is set to internal so I dont get it.

How about trying a factory reset of the 2408?
