Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum here. About ready to pull the trigger on a traveler mk-3 since it really fits all my needs.
Kinda wondering since there is no mention on the MOTU site, and I see the traveler is a bit narrower than most rack units, and I see the MIDI and power plus are on the side of the unit as well. Being able to rackmount the unit is a big deal to me.
So my questions are:
1- Is the unit rackmountable?
2- If so, does it come with the hardware ("ears" or whatever you call those) to rackmount it?
3- If it doesn't, will standard ears work or is something specific required for it?
4- Lastly, when rackmounted, is there enough room left to actually use the plugs on the side of the unit? I won't need to be plugging/unplugging things so accessibility of the side is not really the issue, I just want to know if there is enough clearance for the cables to be there permanently.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Traveler mk-3 and rackmounting
The Traveler mk3 does include a rackmount kit that includes the rack ears and the screws you need to attach them to the interface. With the rack ears, the interface can be mounted in a typical 19" rack. There should be about 2" of space on either side of the interface when it's rackmounted, so MIDI and power cables will still fit.
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.
