EZ Player Pro is freaking out. When I drag a groove into Dp 6.02 all mayhem breaks loose, a bunch of ghost images of the drag are all over the tracks window and most of the time the drag acts as if it were dragged twice ie a double copy occupying the same measure in the track, have to delete and then it works. Dragging is very slow compared to 6.01 with EZPP, 5-6 secs. versus instantaneous. Not good as I use EZPP and Superior all the time. Investigating further.

Which version of EZPLayer PRO? I believe the latest plug-in AU is 1.02? How is Superior working? Is that Superior 2?
Thanks

It seems I'm using EZPP 1.0.1, Superior 2 is version 2.0.2. Wasn't aware of the update, downloading now and will report back.

Actually was using EZPP 1.0.2, the plug-in said 1.0.1 but checking the component file confirmed 1.0.2. Hmmm

I booted 6.0.1 just to check again that everything was working with EZ Player Pro and Superior 2. Indeed it was, work just as it was supposed to. There is definitely a problem with 6.0.2 and this set-up. The only workaround so far is to launch EZPP and S2 via Toontrack Solo and in addition launch S2 as a plug in in DP. Dragging from EZPP when in TT Solo mode does NOT cause the problem to occur. This is a major bummer, hopefully addressed quickly, will send this info to MOTU.

James, you're using Addictive Drums. I'm curious to know if it's working alright for you in 6.02 and if the method of previewing grooves is similar to EZ Player Pro. In other word do you preview them in the app and then drag to the tracks window. Also can you drag to the MIDI window, in EZPP you can't (sure wish you could).

When I was down loading the update, I was looking around the net and my computer crashed and said to restart.
I restarted and fixed permissions and ran Mac janitor; then went and down loaded Dp6.02.
After installing it I repaired permissions again.
I opened DP6.02 and had no MIDI inputs from my keyboard PC88 mx showing up in the MIDI monitor so I restarted the computer.
Opened DP6.02 again and MIDI worked fine.
Now the bummer; when dragging a MIDI files from EZdrummer DP6.02 freaks out and acts like it is trying to put a bunch of chunks on the spot at once. Only one file does show up but it keeps flashing and the sound is messed up when dragging the MIDI chunk from EZDrummer to DP. EZdDrummer plays fine but this makes DP6.02 no good for me unless I can figure it out. I do have the latest version of EZDrummer it works in DP6.01, it does make a angry noise when placing a MIDI chunk on a track but not as bad as in DP.02.

MIDI File Drag & Drop Problem?: Addictive Drums & EZPlayer Pro & UVI WorkStation in DP 6.02??
The problems that have been reported with dragging and dropping MIDI files from EZDrummer into DP 6.02 raises the possibility that this might be some MIDI file drag problem that would also similarly adversely affect MIDI file drag and drop from the above VI's in DP 6.02 (i.e., Addictive Drums & EZPlayer Pro & UVI WorkStation).
Addictive Drums, EZPlayer Pro and UVI WorkStation all have MIDI file drag and drop ability. And, EZPlayer Pro (a MIDI drum file player/editor) is also made by ToonTrack, as is EZDrummer (about which problems have been reported w/ MIDI file draga and drop).
Can anyone who has Addictive Drums, EZPlayer Pro or UVI WorkStation and has successfully (or not) done MIDI file drag and drop in DP 6.02 please report their experiences here?
It's especially important for me with respect to Addictive Drums and EZPlayer Pro that MIDI file drag and drop work properly.
(James, you have Addictive Drums -- how is MIDI file dragging working in DP 6.02 w/ AD?)
Thanks!

I ordered EZDrummer’s Jazz pack and had my PO box for my address so they sent me an email telling me to give them a home address for shipping.
The email came from Waves, now I know why it is not working right.
Yes the problem is with MIDI drag and drop from EXDrummer.
I am going to try dragging some MIDI files I have saved as MIDI files into DP.02 to see if it works fine; i will report back latter.
I am glade I kept DP6.01 as I will have to use it for making drum tracks, if DP.02 works well for every thing else I may finish projects in it after dragging MIDI drum tracks in to it.

FWIW: I tried MIDI drag & drop with Stylus RMX, and it worked...

I've sent e-mails to both MOTU and ToonTrack regarding the MIDI file drag problem. I had an SMF on my desktop and this dragged in to 6.02 with no apparent problems. So far, other than Stillwell and EZPP, everything is working well. The crash problem I had with Kontakt 2 seems to be rectified. Actually 6.02 "feels" quite stable. I'm doing some mixing today and we'll see how that goes, straight up Rock & Roll, @30 tracks per.

I, Too, can confirm that there is a prob here. I just opened a new 6,02 project to test a drag and drop of EZ Drummer nashville. I'm not using EZPlayer Pro, rather just EZ drummer as an Instrument track while setting up AUX tracks as to get multitrack separation on the drums.
I can drop and drag from the groove list, but when I do, it goes kinda slow and all these little ghost like boxes also appear and seem to be doin' something in the background. It takes about 30 seconds for all this to happen and then the MIDI groove pattern shows up in the MIDI track and plays properly.
So, something is definately wrong, but the grooves do play back once settled. In 6.01 I have absolutley no probs draggin' the grooves in.
I'll go search the thread on the Toontrack forum and see whats happenin'. The ToonTrack guys have excellent support so let's hope they can figure somethin' out. I don't know whay in the hell this would change with DP 6.02 but, I totally rely on EZ Drummer. I am a computer illiterate, but I suspect this is a DP prob as oppsoed to Toon Track as I have not had any probs prior to this.

I've posted a question in the help section over at the ToontTrack forum. They are generally really quick to respond. I suspect this is not their prob, but lets hope they have some ideas.....
