Hey guys,
Wanted to let people know of the first "full length" project that I mixed (and actually played and sang on [a couple of tracks]). It was a spontaneous recording my church had done. It wasn't rehearsed or practiced. I essentially pressed record and the mics fell where they did. The main board was a Mackie TT24 and we used the ADATS as direct outs into DP 5.13.
There were overdubs afterward (of course) which were through an Ultralite (I used Neve and API pres into the Ultralite line inputs). Used a ton of DP plug ins (all the EQs are Masterworks). Most of the keys were Mach V II. U-Audio plugins were 1176, LA2A, their delay emulator (I wish DP had a better delay that I could understand), and a couple Dreamverbs.
Anyway... here's some clips on our 'store' page.
www.churchontherock.ca/store.php - click on the CD cover and you can here preview tracks from the selections on the right hand side.
Let me know what you think - even if the lyrics don't float your boat.

Nice job! You should be very happy with the outcome. Good work! I like the title of the CD.
I really like the girl's voice. She reminds me of Twila Paris in some ways, but this girl is a little more pleasing to the ears for me.
Have a blessed Christmas. Keep up the good work. I'm impressed with what you did and how you pulled it off.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for your feedback. I think it be really nice if in the midst of mixing if I could have bounced things off of people. I'd love a website where you could post clips and just get some mixing feedback from people more experienced than I.

I'd also love that, CC. This section of MOTUNation would be ideal if it were able to host the clips; I only check out direct links to music due to connection speed, so as more folks post U-Toob links and the like these days, I've not been able to partake as much as I used (and indeed prefer) to of late.
Well done on the recording, BTW. I'm sure it sounds great.
