Click defaults not working?

I'm trying to setup the click to accent 1 and 4 in 6/8 time with beat 5 being a half note.
I have the click default setup as 1 1 1 1 2 1/8, with 1 and 4 being accented. It plays correctly in the preferences window while auditioning it.
In my project, when I turn on the click it does not respond to this? Have I overlooked something?

I should note that the countoff function follows my click default properly.

It appears that I had to manually put in a click change in the event list with the correct pattern.
I'm not really sure I understand why the defaults aren't actually defaults?
It is however very cool that you can change the click pattern at any time! wow

Did you go to the main options window and select MIDI and or audio, click when counting off, and what will play the count off? Did you click the count off in the menu bar that has the memory and punch in controls? Did you go to the metronome at the top of the screen next to the control panel and click it on? If not this should work for you.
