828 Mk2 & Vista (HELP PLEASE)

Hi, I wonder if anyone knows if "Motu 828 MK2"(Fire Wire & 32 Bit) works with Windows Vista?
It has worked perfectly with my old computer which was an XP.

I tried downloading the drivers on Motu homepage, but it only made it worse. The computer can identify the soundcard and its installed as it should be (I think). But when I hear the sound, it's like "crackling" or a bit "grungy"...I don't know exactly how to explain it. But it does not sound as it should.

So I wonder if anyone excperienced the same thing, knows what to do or knows if the soundcard works with Vista at all?

I don't know if it does or should make any difference, but to be safe I'll add it to the info that the FW port on the Vista Computer is small while the XP computers FW port is a regular size, altough it's both the same kind ofcourse. Just wanted to add that in case it has any effect.

Help would be REALLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Does your new computer has a Firewire-Port with a Texas Instrumets or Lucient/Algere chip on it?
That could be the problem as Firewire interfaces are known to have problems with especially VIA or similar cheep firewire chipsets.

I hope I could help you!!
