Using Tascam FW-1082 w/DP - Asst problems

If anyone else is using the Tascam FW-1082 with DP, I••™m curious if they are having the same issues as me, or if my problems may be related to my setup. I am running the 1082 in Native Mode. The Control setup in DP is set to 1082. I have the DP drivers installed and I believe the latest OSX driver. One of the big problems is the F keys do not open any windows (e.g. tracks, mixer••¦..) as they should. Also, the EQ frequency knob does not fine tune. When you turn the knob, it jumps from one value to the next (ie, it will jump from 8K to 22k, but won••™t stop anywhere in-between). This makes the EQ section unusable from the control surface, as I have to use the mouse to change frequencies. There are a few other quirky issues, but those are the main ones. It••™s a wee bit frustrating, because the Tascam documentation clearly states that the device is setup to work correctly with DP.

Just curious if anyone else has had similar issues.

Setup:
G5 dual 1.8Ghz
1.25Gig Ram
OSX Panther
DP4.52

Thanks,

Andrew

I use a Tascam 1884, it took me quite some time to figure out the dual button pressing(s) to get the functions to work properly. for example. To change eq parameters in small incraments you need to hold the shift key down while tuning knobs.

There should be a DP documentation on using the 1082 on the tascam site.

Thanks, I'll try that when I get home. There is a support document, but I don't recall it mentioning this. :)
