No MOTU Audio devices connected

Hello to all,

I recently bought a motu 8pre...
The hardware was tested on two computers:1)desktop pc(cpu - core2duo 6420,mobo - asus p5b deluxe wifi edition (texas instruments firewire chip on board), ram - corsair xms2 2x1 gb modules ddr 2 ,service pack 2)and 2)on a sony vaio vgn-fz21e with windows vista os(32),on both cases i used texas intruments firewire chip.
I also tested:the latest drivers for this hardware,the latest drivers for my motherboard and off course all the suggested hotfixes
from motu/microsoft...the result was the same every in time i tried to launch all of it's applications ...No MOTU Audio devices connected message!!

Any ideas???
